    Yvonne  worked  in  the Court System until  she had a stroke on Nov. 24, 1997 at 60 Centre Street in   Room   543.   On   November   28,   1997   she succumbed to her  illness. She started as  a Court Officer on  April  28, 1975  and  was  promoted  to Senior Court Clerk in 1985.

     During her years in  the Court System, Yvonne often fought against in  inequality and  the status of  minorities in the courts.  She was an advocate of t he downtrodden, often voicing her opinions as we all  know.  She was  always lending  a  helping hand  to  people  who  lost  their  jobs, to  people looking for better jobs, and to people having cases in the Criminal and Civil Courts.

     She was  a person who was popular and had a lot of  friends who admired and had fun with  her.  She  was  adored  by Supreme Court Judges, Civil Court Judges as well as many attorneys.
